Articles published from the June 2024 issue onward are immediately available to readers free of charge, without registration or subscription. No embargo period applies.

Open Access Transition

The Bangladesh Journal of MIS (BJMIS) transitioned to fully open-access publishing from Volume 10, Issue 1 (June 2024). This policy applies to all articles published from that issue onward.

The transition does not automatically extend the CC BY-NC 4.0 license to articles published before the June 2024 issue. Reuse of earlier articles must comply with the copyright notices and permissions applicable to those articles.

Access and Reuse

Readers may access and download the full text of articles covered by this policy free of charge.

These articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). This license permits anyone to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, and adapt the articles for noncommercial purposes, provided appropriate credit is given to the author(s), the original publication in BJMIS is acknowledged, a link to the license is supplied, and any changes are indicated.

Indexing and License Conditions

Articles covered by this policy may also be crawled for indexing and used as data by software in accordance with the license. Users may not impose additional legal or technological restrictions that prevent others from exercising the rights granted by the license. Commercial reuse requires separate permission from the relevant copyright holder.

Author Rights and Repository Sharing

Authors of articles covered by this policy retain copyright in their work and grant BJMIS the right to publish it under CC BY-NC 4.0. Authors may deposit and share the published version in institutional or subject repositories and on personal websites without an embargo, in accordance with the license and with appropriate attribution.

Third-Party Material

Third-party material, including images, tables, and datasets, is covered by the article’s CC BY-NC 4.0 license unless a credit line indicates otherwise. For material excluded from the license, users must obtain permission from the relevant copyright holder if their intended use is not permitted by law.

Publication Charges and Reader Access

Any applicable article processing charges are disclosed separately in the journal’s Article Processing Charges policy. These charges do not affect readers’ free access to articles covered by this open-access policy.
