Editorial: Balancing Innovation and Sustainability in Bangladesh

Bangladesh is navigating a pivotal era where digital innovation meets the urgent need for sustainability. The pandemic-driven shift to e-recruitment has redefined the labor market, while AI chatbots and blockchain are streamlining banking and supply chains. In the tourism sector, digital creators are boosting interest in local gastronomy ; however, the rapid expansion of resorts in areas like Sajek Valley highlights the risks of cultural and environmental degradation.

True prosperity requires balancing these advancements with environmental health. Research confirms that air pollution and urbanization significantly impact the national economy. Furthermore, while digital agriculture offers a path to eliminate hunger, its success depends on overcoming infrastructure and training gaps. Moving forward, Bangladesh needs integrated e-commerce policies and community-engaged strategies to ensure that technological growth remains inclusive and ecologically responsible.
